Guess its because we spend most of the childhood time together.. & she tend to look like me :P

Despite of our age differences, I must agree that we actually look & act pretty much the same.

Recently, I picked up a new job as the door girl :)

Always think that it's a simple job to stand @ the door but its kind of different when i get to experience it now.

How did you guys spend your new years eve this year?

For myself, I decided not to join my boyfriend for the Batam trip as i didn't really felt like traveling out of town.

Worked @ Wavehouse Sentosa together with 8 other girls instead (^_^)!

Poojaa, the girl who weighed the same as me. I felt so embarrassed to be the same weight as her - The obvious height difference!

Winnie is back from Brisbane! Been a month since i last saw her.

An attempt to snap a picture of the fireworks & myself but failed.

Try again.. a little better now?

Guess Winnie do it better! Look a little too tan in this picture thou. Haha..

The music was a total disappointment for the night and i decided to head home as early as 3am.

Thankfully, theres supper kakees so i don't have to go home with an empty stomach (^_^)!

These few days, i came out with my own new year resolution!

New Year Resolution (2012)

1. Drive on the street

It's been 3 months since i got my class 3 license but I'm still a little worried to go on the street. The only distance i've drive so far is from the petrol kiosk back to my estate (-_-)!

2. Score at least 2 distinction for this Semester

Managed to pull through last semester and nearly repeated my business statistics module. Shall not put myself into that sort of situation again and start revising early.

3. Tonner thighs (Slim down)

Maybe its family genes? All the family member in my family have gigantic thighs and its really sad to live with such fate. I should definitely do something about it.

4. Sleep earlier (Develop well-balanced lifestyle)

I'm an owl that barely sleeps.

I dunno whats with me. But i can stay up all the way till morning 8 am & wakes up @ 1 pm in the same afternoon.

5. Learn to love & appreciate everyone around me a little more

Been a spoilt brat lately. Before everyone leaves me, i guess i should at least love them back a little.

Hello everyone! I'm back from my KL trip.

Overall, it had been a fun trip for me.

Except for all the crazy rides @ all the theme parks.

Seriously, its like paying $_$ to make yourself suffer.

Oh well, he likes it so just hope that he enjoyed himself well :)

X'mas Eve (24th December 2011)

This year, we decided to go for a simple friend gathering instead of the usual fine dinning.

We had turkey & steak ordered from the hotel together with lovely cupcakes prepared by keith's girlfriend, Weiyi.

Doesn't it look like chicken? Taste like one too.

Don't understand how people actually differentiate between turkey & chicken.

After X'mas dinner, we gamble our night away!!!

Christmas itself (25th September 2011)

Had lunch @ Ippudo as i've been craving it so much when i was away form SIN.

After dinner, had some LAN game before settling down for the movie - Sherlock Holmes!

GTI 35th Anniversary (Volkswagen)

November had been a really busy month for me.

Oh did i not mention? I got back my results!

Nothing fantastic this semester. But i passed my Business Statistics!!!

Seriously, that is the best thing that could ever happen to me on the month of november <3

Here is one of the major event that i've done for the month.

"GTI 35th Anniversary"

25th November 2011 (Friday)

Personally, i think i would prefer the GTI Racequeen outfit over the Grid Girl's outfit.

Met Ivy Goh @ the event. Been some time since we last worked together.

Probably like a year ago @ a golf event.

Heres Sharlene. Met her through a bike show @ Scape earlier this year :)

For the first day, our jobscope was to dress up as GTI Racequeen and waved on the bus top.

Before heading up the bus, some of us were asked to hold the flag and take pictures.

26th November 2011 (Saturday)

When the car wash begins..

The Macho guys & the girls team up and split into 2 shifts.

Like for every 2 working hours, we will rotate shift all the way from morning till evening so that

each shift will get sufficient rest.

Nails done by bestfriend, Christine the night before.

Disturbing Poojaa when she's taking some nap during the break time. Hahas..

Got myself balloon hat @ the fair. There were clowns walking around and you could request them to make any design of balloon you wish to have :)

Besides balloon, there were airbrush tattoos, nail arts and even candy floss for everyone!

In the evening, we had some flooding situation. We tried our best to salvage the situation but there were no rubbish bin to dump the food so what we could only do is to let it flood and save our "bags" instead.

Despite of everything, the guys were having a fun time playing with the flood.

With some of them even start posing with the GTI cars in the flood. Hahas..

27th November 2011 (Sunday)

On the 3rd day, we were all praying that the rain will come again so that there will be flood. Can you believe, someone in the group actually brought along his swimming goggles along wanting to capture a photo with him inside the flood together them. Seriously.. hahas!

If you guys are reading my blog post, its really nice meeting you! I may be absolutely ridiculous at times. But seriously, i mean no harm.

Perhaps, i've turned a little darker or a little fatter. Or should i say, a lil more stinky after being dump into the dunking water tank by you guys.

Guess what? I didn't take up any jobs for the week.

Sometimes, it can be really enjoyable by just lazing around at home.

One of the "Must Watch" Movie that i've to recommend.

Ratings: 4.5/5 stars

Reminds me about life back in my secondary school days.

Similar feeling but a different setting.

If i could turn back, i would definitely be brave enough to change the story.

Officially break free from examinations

I've officially done with my first semester!

Having a mixed feelings over it.

To be happy that its over or to be disappointed with myself for not performing well.

Oh well, I know i'll definitely be happy celebrating the holiday if not for my business statistic paper.

Seriously, i was totally caught off guard with the paper today.

The format of the paper was extremely different from the mid-term.

More than 50% of the paper is based on theory and the last few chapters that teacher did not really emphasised on.

For now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and just hope the best.

On a side note, I'm kind of happy that i can finally tuck myself into my warm and comfy blanket for the rest of the night.

"Can you believe that i actually only slept for an hour or 2 a day for the past few weeks mugging through the night? "

Insane i know. Thats the price to pay for not being consistent.

So now, i've draw out a new year resolution for the next year 2012 when my second semester starts.

F1 Singtel Grid Girl 2011

Its been a really busy week for me.

Attending DBS REMIX official launch, working for Bausch & Lomb event and finishing up my school project at the same time.

Thank god, my marketing project is almost ready for submission this friday.

At least i could have a peace of mind and concentrate on my revision for my final year exams!

Back to the topic, how many of you came to watch F1 this year?

Instead of spending $$ buying the expensive tickets, i decided to work this year :)

The lunch and dinner provided on the first day.

Overall, I would say that the food is edible but definitely not appetizing. I guess that pretty much explain why i walked all the way to the Flyer to grab my own lunch the next day.

As the main race is not on the day, all ended early and baby brought me to Robinson Quay's Ippudo for some ramen!

For quality wise, i think i would prefer the one located @ Mandarin Gallery. If you are looking more into the ambience of the place, the Robinson Quay's outlet would definately be a better choice for you to bring your date as it's less crowded.

On the second day, reported early and decided to go grab some food with bernice @ the Flyer.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Been really busy finding a balance between work and school.

For this year, i decided to settle down with something simple and heart-warming with my family for my 20th birthday.

Checked-in the MBS suite that mummy got me for my birthday after attending the lecture to get myself prepared for the dinner. Yes, no holiday even if birthday falls on school day.!

Definitely one exquisite dining experience that is worth remembering.

However, I personally think that it'll definitely be a greater idea if they have choices of mushroom/black pepper sauce to be added on.

Wishes do come true sometimes. At least mine did came true for this year :) I'm really glad to complete my journey as a learner! haha..

On top of this, i also received a birthday gift (News) from SIM, RMIT on the 12th.
The RMIT Bachelor of Business program me that I'm currently enrolled has been streamlined to align with the new program me structure offered in Melbourne.
It means i will be able to complete my degree within 2 years instead of 3. Double happiness :)

Japanese Summerfest @ Japanese School

Blogging using my new mac book air.

Screwed the screen guard and i can see bubbles and marks all over my screen now.. Damn!

Anyway, had a great time shopping @ Scape & H&M today after one whole afternoon of tough training.

New rings, new shoe & new dresses together along with bubble tea & Ippundo Ramen! What a way to cure all my swings! Yes!

Heres a delayed post on the summerfest i did 2 weeks ago!

It's the second year I'm working for "Asahi" @ the summerfest.

But whats special for this year is that theres the company of Regine! She's the first girl i've worked with in this trade on the year 2009. Thats pretty long ago, isn't it? Its really great working with her after so long.

Before the event, we went to shop around with our "Asahi Yukata" specially prepared by Andrew! :>

And the first thing we did was to grab some delicious ice cream for the stall to get ourselves ready for work! Hahas..

Despite of all the tiredness from serving, it was really fun to see everyone dressing up in their yukata for this festival. Enjoyed myself :)

Last weekend, i did a shoot with Juaski. Its been quite some time since i last did one.

Theme: Nurse (Yes, again)

Better off with a smile?

Tried putting on the bunny ears after the shoot. Always been "nurse" for theme shoots/events. Haven't really get the opportunity to try out others.

Some friends/photograpers commented that i've actually slimmed down as compared to previously.
Have been having buffets and intensive food session recently.

Did i? Hmm.. highly doubt so.. need to start off with a healthier diet and some gym-ing session soon to shed off some fats really soon!

Last year, i did a similar shoot with Juaski in a different nurse outfit.

Food Tasting @ The Eastern Restuarant @ Centrepoint Basement

Last thursday, I was specially invited by William to do a food tasting session @ The Eastern Restuarant. I was thrilled at the offer and jumped at the opportunity immediately.
Being my very first food tasting experience, I was extremely excited during the days leading up to the event. Like a puppy, I was drooling all day as I counted down to 11th August.

Fortunately, the fateful day finally came! Well enough of talking and let the food be served...yum yum :)

As the name suggests, Eastern Restaurant is a Chinese Restaurant that serves up awesome Shanghai Cuisine. For those Tim Sum Lovers, this is definitely a place not to miss.

Ambience
For people who know me, they will definately know that I am a huge HK drama Fan. When I stepped into this restaurant, my fantasy became a reality as I was immersed into a scene from a HK drama. Don't get me wrong, the setting is not elegant or classy. Instead it was fresh and bright with hints of chinese tradition all around. Certainly brings back wonderful memories of the time I was in HK.

Food
I shall start introducing a few of my favourite dishes here. I may not be a professional food critic but let me just share with you my 2 cents worth to get your stomach growling.

1) The Custard Buns 沙流包

I just love the presentation of the custard buns. And the salty egg yolk filling gives me an authenthic taste of a tradidtional custard bun.

2)Shilled Cruncy Cucumber

This is outrageously good i swear. It tastes a little like the chinese "Ah Cha" yet it still remains the refreshness of a cucumber! yums

3)Beef Noodle Soup in Hot & Spicy Sauce (Soup) - $8

This is what I ordered for myself.

The spicy sauce tastes pretty similar to the one at Ding Tai Feng which is my favourite! But it is the tenderness of the beef that makes this dish outshine the others.

4) Noodle with Minced Meat & Mushroom Sauce 炸酱面- $7.80

I was offer a taste of this from the other bloggers :P

For people who can't take spicy food - this dish will be a recomended choice for you! The sweetness of the sauce and mince meat makes it really appetizing to start off a meal.

5) Dumpling noodle with soup

Always one of my favourite when visiting chinese restuarants.

6) Mixed Meat Shrimps with Sweet & Sour Sauce - $8

I love how well it goes along with the sweet and sour chilli sauce!

7) Xiao Long Bao - $4

8) Shan Zhu

Can be served as appetizer and recomended to share among 3-5 people.

9) Noodles that taste like beancurd. Any fan of tofu?

I don't have all the pricings with me but I can assure you one thing...

Behind every handmade noodles, there is always a chef to tell the story..

Definately, it doesn't taste good for no reason!

I think it's a good choice for a simple dinner as it is pretty affordable as compared to other dim sum restuarants like Peach Restuarant. We can't possibly be spending lots of $$$ visiting expensive restuarants everyday, so if you are a fan of dim sum, there is definately no excuse for you to miss this!

Every year, on this special date, our family will get together and celebrate.

For this year, mummy booked the MBS suite on level 49th for us to view the fireworks.

Brought my dearest girlfriend, Christine and Ben along for this special occasion.

Had our buffet dinner @ Rise.

My first taste of pasta after a long while. Friends who know me well should know that italian cuisine are never my cup of tea. Especially, pasta!

However, im gonna start learning to love pasta after this!

Amanda's 19th Birthday Pre-Celebration @ Soul
(8th July 2011)

Had my hair dyed @ Tony & Guy before heading down. No significant difference but at least there are no black patches at the top anymore.

Headed down to Soul - Black & White as Amanda booked a reservation there to celebrate her 19th birthday.

After drinking, it was time to hit the dancefloor!

The night ended late and i only reached home @ 4pm after sending the girls back. Guess i was too tired and i overslept for something really important.

Infusion @ Dempsey Hill
(6th July 2011)

Have you guys heard of Infusion?

Its located @ 16A dempsey hill, quite far from the mainroad. Its defintely advisible to drive or book a cab/valet home.

On the day, they hired 60 girls for the event and we are divided into different groups.

Here are the pictures with my group.

If there is a reason for me to go back again, it will definately be the chicken wings! Hahas.. they are really delicious.

Singtel: HTC Cha Cha
(2nd July - 3rd July)

The weather was really hot for both of the days. One of the singtel guy actually asked me if im a malay at the end of the second day.

Its just ironic how some could think im from mainland china and the others could actually think that im from a malayu family. Few people from my previous events even said that im from taiwan, hongkong or Japan. "Scratch my head!"

& heres addie kong. Everyone should have know her by now i think. Shes been in this trade for some time.

Its always great to work with someone like her who takes initiative to brief us on the jobscope on our very first day as shes more familarised after working the week before.

Heres Peixian. Met her on the second day of the event.

Our jobscope was pretty simple. Go around and "approach" people to "take pictures" with the Android. And of course, to get the pictures, they have to "like" Singtel Facebook Page.

Took a picture with this facebook wall but i think the cow look better than me. So i shall not post my face :)

Beer Fest 2011 @ Singapore Flyer

My first beerfest representing 6 drunk men.

For the event, i was representing Pure Blonde as one of the angel.

No matter how busy the crowd gets, they were always kind & patient when taking orders from us.

It was definately a great experience to work with them.

I seriously think this guy (Rudy) shows the true spirit of beerfest. Against all odds & he is standing tall drinking his beer with his walking support.

If you guys have been to this year's beerfest, you guys should have seen this uncle "Angel" going around giving massages to people. For the entire time, people have been associating him with us "Angels". Seriously, we've no idea where he came from.

Saw a couple of new faces @ this event. Heres stella! Don't you think she look like a snow white?

And this is Amanda. We've worked a couple of times together and it was really great seeing her there again.

I think we've gotten much closer after beerfest & im really glad to be able to find someone im able to speak my mind to.

& there were times when we(or just me) were a lil crazy! Fun shots ^-*

Looking exhausted after one whole day of work. I swear this is the most tiring event i've ever work for.

Thankfully, the girls managed to hit the highest sales among all the booth & all our hardwork were paid off.
